BlueDot - Social Bookmarking Repackaged

Social Bookmarking has become new buzzword on the net with n number of sites coming up with this feature. Social Bookmarking in simple term can be defined as sharing links which you find useful or discover while surfing net, to your friends, contacts or public at general. Another aspect of social bookmarking is social tagging, so you tag your links with certain key words, so that person viewing the link can easily understand what this link is all about.

So now lets discuss BlueDot. Founded by an NRI Mohit Srivastava and backed by some leading venture capitalist, BlueDot is touted as next bigthing in social bookmarking. When it was launched it got quite good review on all the major sites.

• Social discovery through social bookmarking. Yes, this sites has made many features of social networking sites inbuilt. So you can discover/meet new people through the links (dots) they share with you.
• You can automatically dot your blog entries on BlueDot, without any fuss(Click here for Details).
• You can rate your dots, and you can put up a note about the link (though this features is now available on most of the social bookmarking sites.)
• You can enjoy the different level of privacy options, so you can make a link public, private or share with a selected group of friend only.
